While Steve Jobs and Apple.com (the main US version of the site) say iOS 4.1 for iPhone and iPod touch is coming sometime “next week”, Apple.com/uk is cheeky enough to put a date on it — Monday, September 8.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab has just landed on the Vodafone UK website. It isn’t available for pre-order just yet although the company does allow you to register your interest in the new tablet.

Pricing is not known and also the release date isn’t mentioned on the Vodafone site although we have heard it isn’t far away now, perhaps early next month.

As for the technical specs, the device can connect to both 2.5G and 3G networks. It has Wireless 802.11n built in along with Bluetooth 3.0.

For storage it has 16GB of internal memory with a card slot that accepts up to 32GB capacity cards.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab will run the latest OS from Google, Android 2.2 when it launches.
